As the virtual meeting begins, put up instructions to all participants that they need to scavenge three items from around their house that match three particular conditions. Here’s a list of good criteria that work well, but you can also make up your own!

…is the most unexpected or out of place.
…you think everyone ought to have, but doesn’t.”
Once everyone has arrived and had an opportunity to grab the items, start the meeting with a round of introductions. As well as announcing their name, job title, and whatever other usual pieces of info you ask for, tell each person to introduce the items they’ve found too, and why it fulfils the condition you set out above. You’ll get to listen to some incredible tales that will provide a far better understanding of each person’s personality than the usual boring virtual event entertainment options!
